       Metropolitan Hotel Sofia’s chef is Andrey Stoilov, one of the most prominent members of the young and motivated team of the hotel. He started his career in a well known Bulgarian hotel-restaurant. In the following years, Andrey has developed his talent as a professional cook in some of the most hectic food outlets in Sofia. He takes the challenge of becoming the chef of Metropolitan Hotel and aims to surpass his masters and with the support of his team to always outstrip the competition.

      His love for cooking art does not end at the workplace. Andrey is a co-founder and assistant chairman of the Bulgarian Association of Professional Cooks. As a member of the association, he has always participated in The National Cooking Team of Bulgaria’s initiatives and has achieved a great number of medals and awards from international competitions.

      Andrey Stoilov was the capitan of the team during the last Culinary Olympics in 2008 in Erfurt – Germany. Following, are some of the awards he has won for Bulgaria at international contests: golden and silver medals from the culinary festival in Nis – Serbia, silver medal from Euro-Asia festival in Ekaterininburg – Russia, and two bronze medals from the culinary Olympics in Erfurt – Germany 2008.

      Andrey prefers classic recipes combined with a pinch of his individual and modern approach. His favorite culinary destinations are Asia and Italy. He has the remarkable ability to enchant both eyes and palate, combing modern tendencies with surprising creativity.

In the period 15 – 16 May 2009 the National Culinary Cup of Bulgaria 2009 was held in the International Fair Plovdiv. Metropolitan hotel’s team was on the fourth place in the category Culinary team of Bulgaria.
