We stayed at the Hptel in August of 2011 on our way back to the USA. We have two little children. The Hotel is brand-new, very clean and has attractive design. The staff were attentive to our needs and very knowledgeable of the city/area. Very convenient location to the airport and the city center. We would definitely stay there again next time we visit Sofia.

My first time in Metropolitan, 5th time in Sofia.
Clean, modern, I am really positively surprised. (I spend 60 days/year in hotels around the world).
Rooms are big, better equipped then other 4* (but bed is harder, TV is smaller).
Best part - free 4 drinks including beer are waiting me every night in my minibar. (not that it is money saver, but never seen that before - thumbs up! Hoteliers read my lips - this is low cost=big effect)
It may appear away from the center - but taxi gets you there for <5€/<10min.
I need to comeback again to test bar/spa things...
